Secret of the Possessed Princess

Flashback from previous episode, when EXO was fighting the weasel-demon.

MIR:   (narrating) While looking for Naraku, we met a self-proclaimed exorcist.

INU suddenly appears and claws the weasel, which disintegrates.

INU:   Iron Reaver, Soul Stealer!

Cut to EXO throwing purifying salt at INU.

MIR:   (narrating) But she seemed suspicious, and couldn't feel any bad aura.

EXO:  Disappear!

Cut to INU-gang and EXO in courtyard of the castle.

MIR:   (narrating) Together, we went to the town of Demon Head. We met a suspicious-looking Lord and a beautiful princess.

Cut to MIR kneeling in front of PRI, and SAN looking pissed.

MIR:   No matter what, I'll get rid of the demon for you!

Cut to INU throwing a Wind Scar at DEM.

INU:   Wind Scar!

Cut to DEM's joining together again.

MIR:   (narrating) However, when the demon appeared, Inuyasha's Wind Scar didn't work.

Cut to MIR destroying DEM with some sutra charms.

MIR:   (narrating) Maybe because the real demon was somewhere else!

Cut to INU-gang (except MIR) and some retainers facing the lord, who morphed into a demon.

Old retainer: L…Lord!

INU:   Don't! So you're the demon.

Cut to MIR trapped in the basement with PRI. MIR struggles and finally swings his arm, throwing something at PRI, who ducks. She drops the lamp and hides her face behind her sleeve. When she turns around, her face turns to a blue demon.

PRI:   Fool!

MIR:   I put some power into the salt. Seems to be working. (thinking) But this is bad. This demon is strong. I can't move at all…

PRI:   (laughs) Priest, your help won't come. Right now that half-demon is fighting the lord. Under my spell, it appears to be a demon. (laughs)

MIR:   (thinking) What? Inuyasha!

[ ACT I ]

Cut to INU-gang (except MIR) facing off the demon-lord, who is grabbing onto a maid's hair.

* Demon-lord abbreviated as DLO from now onwards *

Old retainer: L-Lord!

INU:   How brave of you to reveal yourself! Demon! (sprints forth) Prepare yourself!

DLO dangles the maid in front of him and INU is forced to stop.

KAG:  He's using that woman!

SAN:  Inuyasha, don't use the Tetsusaiga!

INU:   If so, then… Iron Reaver, Soul Stealer!

INU leaps and claws DLO. DLO steps backwards, growling in pain. INU sheathes TET.

INU:   (scoffs) Not too strong, are you?

DLO grabs the maid and crashes through the ceiling.

INU:   (chasing) Hold it!

Cut to INU and DLO on the roof.

Cut to interior of room. Everyone looks at the hole in the roof.

Retainer: It went outside…

Old retainer: Idiot! It's too early to feel safe. The women should protect the Princess.

Old maid: W-Well…

KAG:  What's wrong?

Old maid: Actually…

SAN:  (shocked) She's at the Demon Head burial mound?

Old maid: Yes… She wanted to show it to the Priest.

SAN and KIR run out of the room. KAG runs out.

KAG:  Sango!

SAN:  I'll go find the Priest!

EXO:  (suddenly appears next to SAN, running) I'll go with you. It's safer this way.

SAN:  Exorcist!

EXO:  (teasing) You were worried, right?

SAN:  Huh?

EXO:  The Priest and the Princess… Alone in the burial mound.

SAN gasps.

EXO:  No one to disturb them… Who knows what might happen?

SAN:  (blushing, defensive) What a time to talk nonsense!

EXO:  Am I right? You like that Priest.

SAN looks away.

EXO:  (teasing) It's so obvious! (giggles)

SAN:  (stops and shouts) That's not true!

SAN turns to EXO, who is far ahead.

EXO:  I'm leaving you behind!

SAN clenches her fist in exasperation. KIR mews.

In the burial mound.

PRI:   (laughs) You can't move, Priest. No one can escape the bad aura binding.

MIR:   Are you eating me?

PRI:   Of all the priests who have come, I've devoured everyone of them. Priest, you're the 100th one. After I steal your powers, I'll be resurrected. Then I can show my real self. (holds up MIR's face and laughs) You have a pretty face, Priest.

MIR looks worried.

Cut to KAG and SHI approaching an injured retainer.

SHI:   He's alright! He's still alive.

KAG:  Stop the bleeding. (opens her medicine kit)

Injured retainer: Th…Thank you.

KAG:  Don't talk. (takes out a spray) Bear with the sting.

KAG sprays some antiseptic on the retainer's wound, who winces.

Cut to another room with fallen retainers. KAG and SHI come running.

SHI:   They're all killed!

KAG:  Let's go, there might be survivors!

Cut to KAG running through the various rooms. She slides open a huge room.

KAG:  Anyone here? (thinking) This is where the Lord was staying.

SHI:   (pointing) Kagome, over there!

A young woman lies behind a blind.

KAG:  (apprehensive) Is someone… sleeping? (walks through the blinds) Hey…

SHI jumps off KAG's shoulder. The young woman looks exactly like PRI.

KAG:  (shocked, thinking) The Princess? I don't get it. The Princess should be at the burial mound. (puts a hand over her face to feel for breathing) She's… Dead!

Cut to INU and DLO on the roof. INU claws at him. INU keeps attacking, but DLO just keeps backing away.

INU:   Bastard, cut it out! (flexes his claws)

DLO places the maid in front of him.

INU:   Tsk. Stop running around.

Suddenly, DLO flickers.

INU:   (shocked, thinking) What? For a split second, the demon flickered. Something's wrong. This demon only runs and doesn't attack. It's as if… (gasps, thinking) As if it's trying to buy time!

Back in the burial mound. PRI suddenly stands up.

PRI:   Someone… Someone has touched the Princess!

SAN and KIR arrives at the scene.

SAN:  Priest!

PRI glares at SAN. SAN and KIR stop.

SAN:  You! (swings HIR and stops short, thinking) My body… won't move! (looks at KIR, thinking) Kirara, you too?

PRI:   (grabs MIR) Woman, watch closely. I'm going to eat him.

SAN:  Damn!

A ringing sound is heard.

MIR:   That's…

EXO walks into the scene.

EXO:  Evil spirit be gone…! (throws salt at PRI) Take that! It's purifying salt!

SAN is shocked.

PRI:   (thinking) This old hag… Isn't she affected by the bad aura?

MIR:   Exorcist! The salt! Pour it on me!

EXO is taken aback but pours the entire pot on MIR and PRI anyway. MIR holds up two fingers and static emits from them. PRI is taken aback and her hands rot away. The rest of her body falls off. The head of PRI flies away.

PRI:   Watch out, Priest! I'll get you for this!

SAN and KIR are able to move. SAN runs to MIR.

SAN:  Priest! Are you okay?

MIR:   I thought I was going to die. Anyway, exorcist…

EXO:  What is it?

MIR:   How did you escape the demon's bad aura?

EXO:  (innocent) What bad aura? Was there even bad aura?

SAN:  (shocked, thinking) She really can't sense it.

MIR:   (chagrins, thinking) She's special in her own way.

EXO:  Anyway, there is no time to lose. That Demon Head has escaped!

Cut to INU and DLO. INU gasps.

INU:   (thinking) What's that? The bad aura increased?

Cut to KAG with the real princess.

KAG:  What is this…

A pair of big eyes appear behind the blinds.

SHI:   What?

KAG:  I feel…

The giant head of PRI hovers behind them. KAG and SHI gasp and turns around.

Cut to INU and DLO.

INU:   (thinking) The bad aura is rising out of the castle. As I thought, this was only a lure! The real demon is inside! There's no time to lose! (sprints and punches DLO in the face) Go to hell! Get back into the castle!

Both DLO and INU crash through the roof and lands in the room below.

Cut to SAN, MIR and EXO running in the corridor of the castle.

SAN:  The demon pretended to be the Princess and have been devouring priests?

MIR:   I would have been the 100th one.

EXO:  Hmm… If the demon went after the Priest… Why didn't it go after me?

SAN and MIR chagrin.

MIR:   The demon devours power. It'd be fully resurrected after eating 100 people.

EXO:  (stops and slaps her fist) I see. (smug) So I'd be the 101st. It would have gone after a talented exorcist like me. Right?

EXO turns to look at MIR and SAN, who have run ahead.

EXO:  Hey, are you listening to me?!

Back with PRI and KAG.

KAG:  The Demon Head!

PRI goes through the blinds and moves towards the real princess. Light orbs appear above her.

KAG:  (thinking) What? Something from the Princess…

PRI opens her mouth and the light orbs move towards her. PRI swallows the light orbs.

SHI:   (on KAG's shoulder) Wh…What is it eating?

PRI:   (laughs) In the Princess' body, are the powers of 99 people. Just one more… But the Priest escaped… (gasps and looks at KAG's chest) Girl… What's that…you're carrying?

KAG:  (covers her chest, thinking) The Sacred Jewel fragments!

PRI:   It'll be better than eating some human's powers.

KAG:  (thinking) Is she going to eat me? (turns around and runs)

PRI chases and bites. KAG dodges and falls to the ground. PRI gets a bite of the door instead. KAG notices the medicine kit nearby. She runs to it

KAG:  (resolute) I'm not going to be eating by something like you! (takes out an aerosol and sprays)

The spray hits PRI's eyes and she recoils in pain.

KAG:  Shippo, Fox Fire!

SHI:   Got it! (jumps) Fox Fire!

PRI burns in blue flame.

KAG:  Now, move! (runs off with SHI)

PRI:   No… No you won't!

Cut to the ceiling crashing and blocking the way. PRI catches up with KAG and SHI.

PRI:   You won't escape! I will devour you! (flies forth at KAG)

INU suddenly appears and swings TET at PRI.

INU:   You bastard!

INU slashes PRI in the face. PRI recoils.

INU:   You've finally appeared.

KAG:  (glad) Inuyasha!

SHI:   (furious) You're late! Thanks to you, we almost got eaten!

INU:   Shut up! Be grateful that I came!

SHI:   What?!

KAG:  (appeasing) Now, now…

PRI:   You…

INU turns to face PRI.

PRI:   How dare you… How dare you wound my face… I won't forgive you for this…!

INU:   So what if you don't? (kicks PRI in the face, sending her flying) You've caused enough harm. Let's end this quick!

PRI:   You half-demon…

INU:   I won't hold back! Prepare yourself!

INU runs towards PRI.

Cut to DLO fallen on the floor in a room. A group of retainers surround him apprehensively with swords in their hands.

Retainer 1: It's a demon…

Retainer 2: Is it unconscious?

DLO disintegrates to reveal the real lord.

Old retainer: L-Lord!

The lord turns into grey ash and evaporates. SAN and MIR arrive.

INU runs towards PRI.

INU:   Take that…!

PRI dodges.

PRI:   Stop moving around. (laughs)

INU:   What's so funny?

PRI:   The people of this castle buried my head thinking it's a charm against evil. Foolish humans. So I murdered the Princess and took her place. In her body, I stored the powers I stole from the priests.

INU:   So the Lord was just guarding the Princess's body. So…you killed those who found out the truth! It's too bad you met us! You're done for!

PRI:   Really?

INU:   Go to hell!

MIR:   (arrives with SAN and EXO) Please wait!

KAG:  Miroku!

INU:   What is it, Miroku? Don't stand in the way.

MIR:   I have something to ask the demon.

INU:   What is it?

PRI:   Priest.

MIR:   Why didn't you emerge from the mound until now? You were waiting… But a powerful demon like you could have come out anytime!

PRI:   (laughs) I knew if I went outside unnecessarily, I'd be easily ruled over by an immense bad aura.

INU:   An immense bad aura?

PRI:   Right. An immense bad aura called Naraku. But Naraku is not here anymore. There's no need for me to hide myself! (turns and bursts through the roof)

INU:   Damn!

PRI:   I can eat all the Priests I want outside!

INU:   I won't let you! Wind Scar!

INU throws a Wind Scar at PRI, who is in the air. It cuts through her and she winces.

SHI:   We did it!

The Wind Scar fades away to reveal PRI still instact.

SHI:   It's still alive…

KAG:  Wind Scar didn't work!

PRI:   (laughs) It's just starting. I'll gain another body and start over again!

MIR suddenly removes the beads on his hand.

PRI:   (shocked) What?!

MIR:   Wind Tunnel!

MIR sucks in the reluctant PRI into his Wind Tunnel. He replaces the beads on his hand and turns to INU.

MIR:   It's over.

INU:   Damn… (sheathes TET) That was tiring.

Cut to INU-gang and MIR looking at the full moon in the sky. The dark clouds surrounding the castle has dispersed.

SHI:   Look!

KAG:  The moon is back!

MIR:   The bad aura surrounding the castle has dispersed.

[ End of ACT I: 19min 53sec ]

[ ACT II ]

Daytime in the castle. INU-gang and EXO are in a room with some retainers. The old retainer bow to them gratefully. EXO smiles contentedly while rubbing her hands together.

Cut to INU-gang and EXO in an open field, sitting on a log.

EXO:  So all the demons in this area reappeared because Naraku left.

MIR:   That's right.

EXO:  Then, I'll be busier than ever. There'll be lots to do!

MIR and SAN gasp.

INU:   Grandma, I think you should retire. You're a fake exorcist!

KAG:  (chiding) Inuyasha, don't say that.

EXO:  Nonsense! If I weren't there, the Priest would have been eaten!

MIR:   (scratches his head uncomfortably) Thanks for that!

INU:   Keh! What a sweet tongue.

SAN:  (whispers to MIR) Don't let her gloat.

MIR:   (softly) But she'll be happy and live a long life!

SAN:  (softly) Actually I think so too…

EXO:  Huh? What did you say?

MIR & SAN: N-nothing!

INU:   Alright, time to go!

Cut to EXO walking away, waving goodbye happily to INU-gang.

EXO:  If anything happens again, I'll help!

MIR:   Sure, no problem!

KAG:  Grandma, take care!

Cut to INU-gang traveling again.

MIR:   Things have been rather complicated… Naraku's gone… So all the other demons have reappeared.

INU:   Keh! They're just weaklings afraid of Naraku's power. I'll get rid of all of them.

The rest of the group look at him in silence.

INU:   (thinking) Anyway, Naraku is still around somewhere. I'll definitely find him!
