Koga and Sesshomaru: A Dangerous Encounter

[ Prologue ]

INU:   It's now time for Inuyasha!

KAG:  To find the Sacred Jewel fragments,

INU:   I have to defeat Naraku with this Tetsusaiga!

KAG:  Koga and Sesshomaru appear to be very different from each other. But both are on very bad terms with Inuyasha!

INU:   Miroku and Sango and Shippo and Kirara!

KAG:  An excitng adventure unfolds!

INU & KAG: Inuyasha!

[ ACT I ]

Daytime by a river. HAK and GIN are running along the riverbank, chasing some fish. They stop and dive into the river.

HAK:  That's it!

HAK catches a fish but it slips out of his hands. GIN chases the fish that had slipped out of his hands.

GIN:  Wait!

The two gape as the fish swim swiftly out of their reach. They sigh.

[ Title screen: Koga & Sesshomaru: A Dangerous Encounter ]

Cut to HAK and GIN sitting disappointedly by the riverbank. The pack of wolves stand behind them.

HAK:  It's so troublesome to find food in an unfamiliar place.

GIN:  We can't find anything.

The wolves grovel.

HAK:  (to the wolves) Endure a little while longer.

GIN:  We could've been robbing a few villages…

HAK:  Koga said he wouldn't dabble with humans anymore.

GIN:  If he does, Sis Kagome won't like him anymore.

HAK:  Thinking about it, we've come pretty far.

GIN:  Yeah.

Rin:  (background) There's a river, Lord Jaken! We can catch fish!

JAK:   (background) Rin! Don't run so fast!

HAK and GIN turn around.

HAK:  What?

Behind the river, there's a forest. Rin runs out from a bush. She sees them and stops.

GIN:  What? A human child?

The wolves step forward and growl.

GIN:  (chiding) Calm down, you guys.

HAK:  You can't eat humans.

Rin gasps and stare at them in horror.

CUT TO FLASHBACK from episode 35 when KOG and the wolves attacked the village Rin stayed in.

KOG:  Alright, your job's over. I'm heading back. You guys can finish off the rest of the villagers.

Cut to the pack of wolves chasing Rin in a forest. She trips and falls. The wolves pounce on her. Rin stares at them, terrified.

END OF FLASHBACK. JAK walks out from a bush behind Rin.

Rin:  (cowers behind JAK) Grandpa Jaken!

JAK, surprised, looks at HAK, GIN and the wolves.

JAK:   (thinking) That's right… Rin was attacked by these wolves. (stern) You wolves! Leave here immediately!

GIN:  What for?! Who do you think you're talking to?

HAK:  (dramatic) We're the right and left hand men of Koga, leader of the Wolf Clan! (flexes his muscles) The bicep guy, Hakkaku!

GIN:  (points to his cheeks) The dimple guy, Ginta!

HAK & GIN: (proud) Well well, do you get it now?

JAK:   (shakes head) Not… really.

GIN:  (falls over) What?!

JAK:   (dramatic, waves staff) You're the ones to be afraid! Serving Lord Sesshomaru for a few hundred years. I've been with him to hell and back! I'm his liege man, Jaken!!

HAK:  This guy blows up like a storm.

GIN:  I've never heard of you or Sesshomaru.

JAK:   Did you insult Lord Sesshomaru?!

HAK:  Are you trying us?

HAK and GIN face off with JAK angrily. SES suddenly appears next to JAK and Rin.

SES:   Jaken, what are you doing?

Rin:  Lord Sesshomaru! (stands and hides behind SES instead)

SES looks coldly at the Wolf Demon Tribe. The wolves inch away.

GIN:  W-What do you want?

HAK:  Do you want to fight?

GIN:  We're running away!

HAK:  But not because we're scared!

HAK, GIN and the wolves flee away.

SES:   Rin.

Rin:  Yes?

SES:   Weren't you going to catch some fish?

Rin:  (smiles and nods) Yes!

Cut to HAK, GIN and the wolves catching their breath by a tree upstream.

GIN:  (panting, sweating) What… a dangerous guy.

HAK:  (panting, sweating) Have we seen him before?

GIN:  The name "Sesshomaru" does seem familiar… Who is he…? Anyway, let's return to where Koga is.

HAK:  Yes. Let's go, guys.

HAK and GIN start running. The wolves gape at them, exhausted and in disbelief. They bark to each other.

INU-gang is standing on a path. KOG is quarrelling with INU.

KOG:  What are you doing here, dog-face?!

INU:   Same to you, jerk!

KOG:  (scoffs) I'm looking for Naraku. I'm not trying to mess with a dog-face.

INU:   Shut up! You think you can just butt in? Naraku is mine…

KOG:  (ignores INU, dashes to KAG and holds her hand) I'm sorry, Kagome. I still don't know where Naraku is. Please wait.

KAG:  (grimaces) Don't worry about it.

HAK and GIN come running.

HAK:  Koga!

KOG:  Oh. Did you find food?

GIN:  (scratches head) No… well…

KOG:  Nothing? You're useless.

INU:   (runs to KOG, GIN and HAK) Hey wimpy wolves. Are you thinking of attacking a nearby village?

KOG:  So what if I am?

INU:   What?!

KOG:  (scoffs) Why would I attack humans? I'll just hunt down a boar.

SHI:   He tried to eat me before.

SAN:  Seems like he doesn't want to be disliked by Kagome.

MIR:   Koga seems more thoughtful around Kagome.

KAG:  Oh! (digs into her bag and takes out a bag of chips) Koga, you can eat this.

SHI:   (shocked, crying) That's one of the last remaining Ninja food!

KOG:  (holds KAG's hand) Kagome, do you worry for me?

KAG:  (grimaces) I…

INU rushes in and separates KOG from KAG.

INU:   Don't give it to a bastard like him.

KOG:  What are you doing?! (punches INU in the face)

INU:   You… bastard! (grabs the chips)

A fight ensues over the bag of chips.

KOG:  Give me that!

INU:   You idiot!

KAG:  Both of you, knock it off!

GIN:  Sis, do you know a Sesshomaru?

HAK:  He's a white dog demon that wears a fluffy kimono.

KAG:  Sesshomaru? Inuyasha's elder brother?

HAK and GIN are shocked and their faces turn pale.

HAK:  I-Inuyasha?

KOG and INU are still fighting over the chips.

KOG:  (punches INU and grabs chips) You dog-face! You really stink!

INU:   (punches KOG and grabs chips) Don't mock me, you wimpy wolf!

HAK:  What kind of person is Sesshomaru?

KAG:  (pondering) What kind? He's on bad terms with Inuyasha, possesses Tokijin, a really evil sword, is really strong, and a little ruthless.

HAK & GIN: (shocked) R-ruthless?

KAG:  When Koga and Inuyasha fight each other like this, they won't kill each other. But if it were Sesshomaru, he might kill his opponent.

HAK:  (looks at GIN) Kill?

KAG:  But he seems to have changed a little. He's not that ruthless now.

INU and KOG are still fighting. KAG runs over to them.

KAG:  (chiding) Give it a rest, guys!

HAK and GIN look at each other seriously.

HAK:  He's as dangerous as we thought.

GIN:  I'm glad we didn't have to fight him.

The pack of wolves walk up to GIN and HAK.

HAK:  What's wrong?

The wolves start barking. GIN and HAK also bark back. They have a conversation. HAK and GIN are horrified. Cut to MIR, SHI, SAN and KIR looking on.

SHI:   What are those guys doing?

Cut to HAK and GIN.

HAK:  These guys have attacked that girl before…

GIN:  The girl traveling with Sesshomaru?

HAK and GIN look at each other. Cut to MIR and group.

SAN:  I'm pretty tired of waiting.

MIR:   They might be done soon.

KAG:  (background) Inuyasha, sit!

Sound of INU crashing to the ground is heard. MIR and group are shocked. Cut to INU on the ground.

INU:   Kagome, you…!

KOG:  (holds up the chips) Kagome, this is a sign of your kind heart. Thank you.

KAG:  (sweat drop) Don't mention it…

KOG:  See you.

KOG turns into a tornado and spins off. GIN, HAK and the wolves run after him.

HAK:  Wait up, Koga!

GIN:  Excuse us, Sis!

SAN:  Back to normal.

MIR:   Well, let's head for that village as planned.

The group starts walking.

INU:   (still on ground) Wait a minute, you guys!

Cut to KOG-gang walking.

KOG:  (eating chips) This sure tastes good!

GIN:  (to HAK) If we head this way…

HAK:  (to GIN) It's the stream we were at.

KOG:  There's a stream that way. Let's rest over there.

GIN:  (horrified) No Koga, let's go on further!

HAK:  (horrified) But not to that stream.

KOG:  I'm thirsty though.

HAK:  (waves to the right) Why not go more upstream?

GIN:  (waves to the left) Why not go more downstream?

KOG:  Why do I have to go through so much trouble?

GIN:  (looks down) Well…

HAK:  (looks down) We…

GIN:  (thinking) We can't say.

HAK:  (thinking) If we tell him, knowing his personality…

Cut to HAK and GIN's imagination of KOG's reaction.

KOG:  (indignant) Idiot! Why should I run like a baby from Inuyasha's elder brother? (smirks) He's just a dog-face. (yells) Bring him! Lead him to me!

Back to present. HAK and GIN look very worried.

HAK:  (thinking) We'll end up fighting Sesshomaru.

GIN:  (pulls KOG) Koga! Let's go that way, Koga.

KOG:  (shakes GIN off, furious) Why are you guys trying to order me around?

GIN:  (appeasing) We're not ordering you around, Koga.

HAK:  (appeasing) We're just trying to warn you.

GIN:  (pulls KOG) Please, just listen to us!

HAK pushes KOG too. KOG shakes them off furiously.

KOG:  Knock it off! What's with you?! Just shut up and follow me!

HAK:  We're not following you!

GIN:  That way is bad!

KOG:  You don't want to follow me? (points) Then just go back to where you came from!

HAK:  (worked up) What, Koga? What's with you?

GIN:  (worked up) You don't know how we feel!

KOG:  I don't care how you feel!

HAK & GIN: (eyes enlarge in disbelief, crying) K-Koga, you idiot…!

HAK and GIN, hurt, run off angrily. KOG look at them, confused.

KOG:  What's wrong with them?

[ End of ACT I: 10min 55sec ]

[ ACT II ]

Evening. INU-gang is walking in a village.

Voice: (background) You…! Have them…!

INU-gang stops and looks around.

KAG:  W-What?

INU:   What?

A huge demon with pincer hands burst of from some trees and loom over them.

Demon: You have the Sacred Jewel fragments!

MIR:   A demon!

Demon: (move towards KAG) Give me the fragments!

SHI (in KAG's bike basket) and KAG shriek and cower. INU leaps and draws TET. He slashes off the demon's left pincer arm. MIR then takes out a charm and throws it on the demon's forehead. The demon winces in pain and backs off. Suddenly he disintegrates into tiny pieces.

MIR:   (prays) Amitabha.

Villager: (background) How strong…

A group of villagers walk to INU-gang.

Headman: That demon has been severely plaguing our village. Thank you for saving us.

MIR:   There've been lots of demons moving around.

Headman: Please stay in our village this evening.

MIR:   (glad) Really? (prays) Well then, thank you.

SHI:   (glad) We can stay without feeling guilty.

SAN:  (glad) The Priest didn't have to do any unnecessary exorcisms.

MIR:   (grimaces) Well…

INU:   There won't be any signs of Naraku where demons exist.

KAG:  Stop saying that. Just accept their hospitality.

Cut to HAK and GIN in a forest, looking for food.

HAK:  Koga's an idiot.

GIN:  He's so mean while we worry for him.

GIN reaches into a hole in a tree. A dragonfly flies out and away from him. GIN panics and then frowns disappointedly.

HAK:  (picks at a fruit) He's so abusive.

HAK eats the fruit. He freezes and his face turns purple. He spits it out immediately.

GIN:  (takes a blade of grass and chews it) He's too arrogant as a leader.

HAK:  Why don't we join Kagome's group?

GIN:  (spits out grass, excited) Then we won't have to deal with this sort of thing!

HAK:  (ponders) But there's Inuyasha…

GIN:  (slouches over) That's right… He's abusive too.

Suddenly some rumbling noise is heard. A purple demon with a big belly glares evilly at them.

Demon: You guys aren't from around here!

HAK and GIN panic and run away. HAK trips and fall.

HAK:  Wait!

GIN:  (still running) Do your best!

The demon trudges after them. HAK gets up and runs.

HAK:  You traitor! Ginta, you jerk! If Koga was here, he wouldn't have left his comrade behind!

GIN:  That's because he's Koga!

HAK:  Damn, it's because of him that we're in this situation!

GIN:  He said he'll go after Naraku no matter what happens.

HAK:  He can't forgive Naraku for killing his comrades!

GIN:  Right, before Naraku disappeared…

FADE TO FLASHBACK from episode 39 when Kagura killed the Northern Wolf Demons to lay a trap for KOG and INU.

GIN:  (voice-over) Why don't we give up? Give up finding Naraku.

KOG:  (voice-over) What? Have you forgotten? That Naraku killed all of our comrades!

GIN:  (voice-over) Of course not!

HAK:  (voice-over) But how do we find him?

Cut to KOG walking away, all injured, in episode 40.

KOG:  (voice-over) We can't give up… I'm going to kill Naraku! Or else… My dead comrades won't forgive me.

END OF FLASHBACK. HAK and GIN stop running.

HAK:  This journey was to avenge our comrades.

GIN:  Koga's our leader, so he feels responsible.

HAK:  He's abusive, but he takes care of us.

GIN:  He's also saved us before. Now what?

HAK:  What shall we do?

A gust of wind blows.

GIN:  (worried) This scent, is it Sesshomaru?

HAK:  He's approaching.

GIN:  That's where Koga headed!

HAK:  (panics) They'll meet!

GIN:  If that happens… (clasps his face and yell in terror)

Cut to GIN and HAK's imagination of KOG meeting SES and Rin.

KOG:  You annoying dog-face! (scoffs) Don't have that attitude with me!

SES glares at KOG in silence.

Rin:  (points) Lord Sesshomaru, that's him!

SES's eyes turn red and he starts transforming into his full-demon state.

Back to present. HAK and GIN panic and yell in terror.

HAK & GIN: NO!!!!

HAK:  We've got to do something!

GIN:  Do something…

HAK:  But what should we do?

GIN:  What should we do?

[ End of ACT II: 14min 49sec ]

[ ACT III ]

SES-gang is traveling in a forest. They stop as HAK and GIN are blocking the path with their arms outstretched.

JAK:   Those guys…

HAK:  This path is blocked off!

GIN:  Go somewhere else!

JAK:   What shall we do, Lord Sesshomaru?

Rin:  Lord Sesshomaru?

GIN:  You're wondering who we are. We're the left and right-hand men of Koga, leader of the Wolf Clan! I'm Ginta of Enma!

HAK:  I'm Hakkaku of Kirisute!

JAK:   Their words seem different from before…

HAK & GIN: If you understand, leave!

SES glares at them in silence. HAK and GIN get worried. They start punching the air and kicking.

HAK & GIN: How's that?

SES continues staring at them in silence. HAK and GIN start fighting each other in a mock manner to show their moves.

HAK & GIN: (to SES) How's that?

SES doesn't even flinch. HAK then hurls GIN over his shoulder and into the air.

HAK:  Throw attack!

GIN:  (spins and kicks the ground) How about my lightning fast triple kick?

HAK & GIN: How's that?

SES:   Begone.

HAK and GIN turn pale.

HAK:  (points at SES) Y-You're the one who should go!

GIN:  T-That's r-right.

JAK:   (sweat drop, thinking) Don't they value their lives?

SES:   (steps forward) I said, begone.

HAK and GIN remember KAG's words earlier on.

KAG:  But if it were Sesshomaru, he might kill his opponent.

Fade to present. SES walks towards HAK and GIN.

HAK:  (whimpering) I-It's over, Ginta.

GIN:  Hakkaku, maybe we'll survive if we take Koga and run off…

HAK:  That's right. Let's move Koga!

KOG:  (background) Are you talking about me?

HAK & GIN: Koga!

HAK and GIN gasp as KOG appears on a ledge behind them.

KOG:  (to SES) What do you want? (jumps down) He has the same scent as the dog-face.

Rin:  (gasps) Lord Sesshomaru…

SES looks at Rin. GIN and HAK run to KOG's side.

HAK:  That guy is Inuyasha's elder brother.

GIN:  Don't get involved, Koga.

KOG:  Inuyasha's elder brother. If he a half-demon too?

SES stares at KOG.

KOG:  Did I offend you?

HAK & GIN: Koga…!

SES:   Move away, Rin. (walks forward)

Rin:  Lord Sesshomaru!

JAK backs away with A-Un. (Rin is sitting on A-Un)

JAK:   (thinking) Those idiots. They'll die for sure.

SES walks to KOG. HAK and GIN kneel and hug each other.

HAK & GIN: It's over!

Suddenly the purple demon that was chasing HAK and GIN earlier rushes out.

Demon: Give them to me! The Sacred Jewel fragments!

The purple demon attacks KOG, who leaps and dodge.

KOG:  Shut up!

KOG kicks the demon in the eye. The demon winces in pain and covers his eyes. He trudge forward blindly towards SES.

JAK:   Lord Sesshomaru!

SES draws Tokijin and slashes the demon into two. The demon yells as it completely disintegrates.

KOG:  (to SES) You didn't have to do that.

Rin:  Grandpa Jaken!

A centipede demon suddenly appears and looms over Rin. JAK panics.

Centipede demon: Let me eat a human!

JAK shrieks and leaps with raised staff. The centipede demon slams him aside.

Rin: Grandpa Jaken!

The centipede demon then moves towards to Rin, who shriek in terror. Both KOG and SES sprint toward the demon. KOG, having Sacred Jewel fragments in his legs, reach the demon first.

KOG:  Don't eat humans!

KOG kicks the demon and it disintegrates. KOG lands next to Rin and walks past SES.

SES:   You didn't have to do that.

KOG:  Now we're even.

JAK:   What?

HAK & GIN: What??

KOG:  (puts an arm around HAK and GIN each and walks) Let's go, you guys. Come on.

SES look at them in silence.

JAK:   Is this alright, Lord Sesshomaru? That wolf demon, Koga, set the wolves on Rin.

SES:   If he does that again, I'll kill him.

JAK looks at SES.

SES:   Right now, my target is Naraku. We don't need unnecessary fighting.

JAK gapes at SES as he walks off. Rin follows SES, pulling A-Un along.

Rin:  Come along now, Grandpa Jaken.

JAK:   (runs) Wait a minute!

Nighttime. KOG, HAK and GIN sit under a tree. KOG holds up the bag of chips.

KOG:  Here, it's your share.

HAK and GIN are surprised.

KOG:  Kagome intended this when she gave it to me.

HAK:  (takes the chips politely) Bon appetit.

GIN:  (nods politely) Thanks.

KOG:  What were you guys saying back then?

HAK:  We thought you'd get into a fight with that Sesshomaru.

KOG:  Why?

GIN:  Why what?

KOG:  I'll smash that Inuyasha for sticking around Kagome. But I have nothing against his brother.

HAK:  I see.

KOG:  Is that all you guys were worried about?

GIN:  We thought Sesshomaru might try to start a fight, so…

KOG:  Why?

HAK:  Why? Because of that human child.

KOG:  Oh, her? Why is that girl with him?

HAK:  We don't know.

KOG:  I can understand if it were Kagome. What does he see in that girl though?

GIN and HAK panic and put their hands over KOG's mouth. They look around to see if SES is present.

KOG:  Knock it off! You guys think I'd lose to that guy? Let's clear that up then!

KOG stomps off. GIN and HAK pull his clothes and grab his legs.

HAK:  Wait, Koga!

GIN:  You'll be the one who gets killed!

KOG struggles but GIN and HAK don't give up.

KOG:  (gives up and sighs) Idiots!

Daytime in the village. INU-gang sets off again.

KAG:  What a nice morning.

INU:   (stops) A stench is coming.

A tornado appears and stops in front of KAG to reveal KOG.

KOG:  Yo!

KAG:  G-Good morning…!

INU:   What do you want so early in the morning?

KOG:  (holds up a bunch of flowers) This is for the food you gave.

KAG:  (shoves INU aside and looks at the flowers) How cute!

KOG:  I heard women like this kind of gift.

INU:   (scoffs) Fancy doing this. (teasing) Are you a girl or what…

KOG ignores INU and hands KAG the flowers.

KOG:  (smooth) See ya. (sprints off)

MIR:   Koga has really changed a lot.

SAN:  It's because of Kagome.

KAG:  Really?

INU scoffs.

SHI:   Inuyasha should try to be more like an adult.

INU:   (grinds SHI's temples) You're more childish!

SHI:   Kagome! What are you doing to an innocent child?

INU:   Take this!

KAG looks intently at the flowers.

HAK, GIN and the wolves are waiting.

HAK:  (waves) Koga!

KOG:  (sprints past them) Why are you lying there? Let's get Naraku today!

GIN and KOG look at each other for a moment. They smile and stands.

HAK:  Let's go, you guys.

GIN:  Let's follow Koga. Wait up, Koga…!

The group runs after KOG in an upbeat manner.
