They were tricked by Tsubaki to fight Inu-gang so as to buy her more time. They are rather strong, but are still gigglish young girls at heart. Botan means peony in Japanese. They are native to the anime and doesn't appear in the manga.

Kawaramaru modified them and infused the bones with poisonous fumes, in an invasion campaign to conquer neighboring states.
